Individual vs. Business Accounts: Choosing the Right Setup

During sign-up, you’ll choose between an individual or a business account. It’s a quick decision, but it’s worth understanding what’s behind it.

Individual accounts

If you’re operating under your own name without a formal business entity, an individual account is the right fit. You’ll verify identity with an SSN rather than a FEIN.

Business accounts

If you’ve formed an LLC or corporation for your brokerage, a business account lets your company name and FEIN appear on payouts and documentation — which matters once you’re filing taxes as a business rather than an individual.

Neither option changes your fees or your access to features. It’s purely about how your account is structured on paper, so pick whichever matches how you’ve actually set up your business.

Inside Our Onboarding Process: What to Expect in Your First Week

Signing up is the easy part. Here's what actually happens between submitting your application and broadcasting your first listing. Day 1-2: Account creation and verification You'll create your account, verify your identity, and confirm your sales volume. This is also when we figure out which products make sense for your business — consignment, automated PO creation, or the full suite. Day 3-4: A sales rep reaches out A real person calls or emails to walk through any questions, confirm your POS setup, and get a sense of how your inventory is currently organized. Day 5+: Inventory transfer and first listings Our team helps migrate your existing inventory into the platform. Once it's in, you're pricing and broadcasting to every major marketplace from one dashboard. Most clients are fully up and running within a week — sooner if your inventory is already well organized going in.
